Upcoming designers, new entrepreneurs, innovative creators and vintage shops will showcase and sell their products and services. On top of this there will be an array of arts and culture. Here, people will be able to try out the new and innovative currency bitcoin. The idea is to demonstrate to people, business owners, innovators and emerging entrepreneurs that bitcoin is a fun, modern and simple tool for economic transactions.

Together with artists, DJs, musicians and other creative souls, we'll transform Kägelbanan in Stockholm into a magical "market from the future" with dazzling colors, delicious food, interesting products, enchanting music and entertainment.

Bring the kids too - among others things, Kids Hack Day will be at the venue and there will be a spot where they can have fun swapping or selling/buying stuff they bring, with each other.

To encourage shopping at the event, visitors will be asked to exchange at least 100 SEK to bitcoin to enter the event. You can choose to shop for these, save them or exchange them back to another currency. You will of course be able to fill up with more bitcoin at the event.

Kägelbanan at Södra Teatern, Mosebacke Torg 1-3 on Södermalm in Stockholm.

When you are outside Södra Teatern you take the steps to the right up to the Mosebacke terrace. You then cross the terrace and take the steps to the right, down to Kägelbanan.

Bitcoin Funfair is organized by the magazine / communication agency The Forumist in collaboration with Bitcenter.

How To Prepare In Advance

At the entrance you'll be able to use a Bitcoin BTM (ATM) to exchange cash into bitcoins. The BTM only accepts cash notes so please bring cash along to the fair to speed things up.

If you want to avoid any cues at the exchange points it's a good idea to download a bitcoin-wallet as an app to your phone in advance. Then you'll only need to show your app's balance at the entrance to fast-track into the actual fair.
